Write in complete sentences.
Standard in Kid Friendly Language
Students will write complete sentences, including a subject and a verb.
Standard Unwrapped
- KNOW that every sentence contains two parts: a subject and a predicate. A subject is what or whom the sentence is about. The predicate is the part of the sentence that tells something about the subject.
- KNOW that a sentence must begin with a capital letter and end with the correct punctuation
ABLE TO DO
- Student will identify the subject and the predicate in a sentence.
- Student will select a subject that agrees with the predicate.
- Student will write complete sentences.
