Writing Standard 3.c - Level 7

Write in complete sentences.

Standard in Kid Friendly Language

Students will write complete sentences, including a subject and a verb.

Standard Unwrapped

  • KNOW that every sentence contains two parts: a subject and a predicate. A subject is what or whom the sentence is about. The predicate is the part of the sentence that tells something about the subject.
  • KNOW that a sentence must begin with a capital letter and end with the correct punctuation

ABLE TO DO

  1. Student will identify the subject and the predicate in a sentence.
  2. Student will select a subject that agrees with the predicate.
  3. Student will write complete sentences.
