Standard 2

Students write and speak for a variety of purposes and audiences.

K.4.a WR 01 2.a Generate topics for writing or speaking ES

K.4.c Choose simple and familiar words in writings that support the main idea

Standard 3

Students write and speak using conventional grammar, usage, sentence structure, punctuation, capitalization, and spelling.

K.4.a Use correct subject/verb agreement in sentences

K.4.b Use adverbs correctly in sentences

K.4.b Identify the correct use of modifiers in sentences

K.4.a Use correct verb tenses in sentences

  • Write in complete sentences with meaning (No reference)
  • Use correct word order in sentences

K.4.c WR 01 3.d.1 Use capitalization at the beginning of sentences and for proper nouns ES

K.4.d WR 01 3.e Spell high frequency words correctly (age-appropriate) ES
