(All these skills are taught only one quarter.)

Typing

  • Students will type 25 wpm at 97% accuracy.


Internet Safety

Students will know:

  • relationships on the web
  • communications on the web
  • understand viruses


Word Processing (Microsoft Word)

Students will know:

  • tab stops
  • columns
  • forms
  • Desktop Publishing
  • Wizards


Spreadsheet (Microsoft Excel)

  • Students will be able to analyze and interpret data.
  • Students will know economic cost (location, location, location).


Digital Presentations (Microsoft PowerPoint)

  • Students will know hyperlinked slides.
  • Students will be able to do a self-running presentation.


Technology Devices

  • Students will be able to use a digital camcorder.
  • Students will be able to use a microphone.


Troubleshooting

  • Students will be able to use troubleshooting devices.
  • Students will be able to use documentation.
  • Students will know online resources.
  • Students will know how to use technical support.
