(All these skills are taught only one quarter.)

Typing

  • Students will type 20 wpm at 95% accuracy


Internet Safety

Students will know:

  • intellectual property
  • government policies
  • how to use file sharing


Internet Research

Students will know:

  • website evaluation
  • truncating a site address
  • citing sources


Server

Students will be able to:

  • Review logging in/out and saving work.
  • Create and organize student folders.


Word Processing (Microsoft Word)

Students will know:

  • tables
  • margins
  • borders
  • inserting objects/pictures
  • inserting symbols
  • know header/footer
  • citing sources


Spreadsheet (Microsoft Excel)

Students will know:

  • data collection
  • average function
  • creating charts/graphs
  • workbook options
  • transferring to Microsoft Word or Microsoft PowerPoint


Digital Presentations (Microsoft PowerPoint)

Students will know:

  • custom animation
  • online clip gallery (sound and motion clips)
  • Pack and Go
  • slide transition
  • narration
  • digital photos


Technology Devices

  • Students will be able to use a digital camera


Troubleshooting

  • Students will be able to use Office Assistant
