Technology Essential Skills for Level 4
Typing
- Students will type five words per minute at 75% accuracy.
Internet Safety
- Know at least three dangers as well as three benefits of the internet.
Internet Research
- Search technique (using “kids” in front of search topic, setting the safe filter in Google).
- Identify two search engines.
Word Processing (Microsoft Word)
- Select text
- Copy, paste,
- Navigate
Spreadsheets (Microsoft Excel)
- Identify columns, rows, and cell name
Digital Presentations (Microsoft PowerPoint)
- Basic introduction
- Why and how it is used
- Simple PowerPoint consisting of three slides
Computer Operations
- Open a new document and locate saved files
Troubleshooting
- Force quit
