Standard in Kid Friendly Language

I will be able to open and use different information programs on the computer.

I know how to go into pre-bookmarked sites on the internet that my teacher has bookmarked for information.

I know how to find the icon for World Book Encyclopedia.

ABLE TO DO

I am able to click on the internet browser and find Bookmark in the menu bar.

I can select a website from the bookmarks and use it to find information.

I can go to World Book Mutimedia Encyclopedia to find information and complete a search.

Instructional Strategies

Demonstrate using the lcd projector and show students where the internet icon is located on the computer. Next, show students the menu bar on the screen and the "bookmark" option. Allow students to practice clicking on these and selecting the different websites that are bookmarked.
