2. Students will make a pumpkin book representing the outside and inside of a pumpkin (use the "Web Resource" it show a great example)
3. Students will visit a pumpkin farm.
Assessment
Use the Pumpkin Needs handout and on a tri-folded paper the student will recreate the needs of a pumpkin in order to grow.

Essential Question
1. Are the student aware that there is more water than land on our earth?
Skills
The students will become aware of the large percentage of the earth that is covered with water.
Assessment
The students will use animal and fish stickers to appropriately designate land forms and ocean areas using the ocean worksheet.

Spring--baby animals, new leaves, green grass, warmer weather,planting crops. Summer--hot weather, no school, swimming, green fields.
Assessment
The student will draw a picture of their favorite season with at least 2 elements of the specific season.

Using different shapes of pasta to represent the different stages in the life of a butterfly: egg, caterpillar, chrysalis, butterfly, the student will construct a life cycle of
butterfly.
