• Describe how France expected the U.S. to side with them in their European war with Great Britain because of the Treaty of Alliance.
• Explain the Neutrality of the United States in regards to these countries.
• Retell the time-line of the War of 1812.
• illustrate on a map the creation of the separate country of Texas and discuss the fight against Mexico in the Mexican/American War. Discuss the role of the U.S. in both Texas and Mexico.
