- Discuss how slavery helped the colonies to gain wealth.
- Discuss how the French and Indian War was a fight between France and England for power over the resources of North America.
- Discuss how the American Revolution was a fight against Great Britain so the U.S. could be independent of Great Britain and their need of all the raw resources.
- Discuss the U.S.'s want of Texas lands to grow tobacco and perpetuate slavery.
