First Quarter:

Student will be able to:

• Letter recognition: Proficient with a minimum of 4-5 letters Standard 1.g
• Letter sounds: Proficient with a minimum of 4-5 letter sound Standard 1.g
• Students will be exposed to a variety of materials through: read alouds, big books, poems, rhymes, picture books Standard 1
• Use a full range of strategies to comprehend a variety of texts Standard 1.a
• Predict using picturesStandard 1.d
• Students can retell a three step sequence of events Standard 1.e
• Say letters of alphabet in sequence Standard 1.e2
