Teach connotations and denotations: negative, positive, neutral associations and emotional overtones
- Puzzling (mildly confusing) vs. bewildered (hopelessly confusing)
Teach loaded and suggestive words
- Words that have especially strong positive or negative connotations (ecstatic, jubilant, hilarious) or (oppressive, dreary, melancholy)
List content vocabulary for a particular story; show relevancy
