Use context clues to determine the meaning of unfamiliar words.

Instructional Strategies

I show the context clue definition sign on the overhead projector. See "Resources" "Context Clue Definition." Then I also show and discuss The Five Types of Context Clues ("Resources"). Then I show some examples from the online resources listed and examples from short stories read in the classroom.
