  • Solve simple linear equations (1-step equations) Math Standard 2.5a
  • Write a variable expression to represent a given phrase. Write a phrase to represent a variable expression. Math Standard 2.5b
  • Apply order of operations (including exponents) with positive rational numbers. Math Standard 6.2
  • Find the perimeter and area of a rectangle or square. Math Standard 4.5b
  • Add, subtract, multiply, and divide positive rational numbers (decimals). Math Standard 6.2b

Second Quarter:

Student will be able to:

  • Read, interpret, and draw conclusions from histograms, circle graphs, stem and leaf plots, scatter plots, bar graphs, and box-and-whisker plots. Math Standard 3.1b
  • Given a display of data (for example, line plot, stem and leaf plot, list of data), determine the mean, mode, median, and range. Math Standard 3.2a
  • Analyze data and draw conclusions to predict future outcomes based on data displays such as histograms and stem and leaf plots. Math Standard 3.4a
  • Construct a coordinate graph and plot ordered integer pairs in all four quadrants. Math Standard 4.4a
