Strategies for Special Needs Students

  • This can be used to practice any skill on the overhead projector! "Grabbers"-Using transperancy with fractions, or any content students need to learn, students place their grabber on the screen over the information you are asking them to know. Grabbers are made by cutting various shapes from neon colored cardboard. When they place the grabber on the overhead it looks as though the information has been highlighted. Have the student walk toward you with the grabber. As he gets closer, the information grows (gets larger).
