Strategies for Special Needs Students
- "Silent Sort"-Cut out pictures of various real items having the shapes students need to learn, ex; clock, computer screen, file cabinet, closet, etc. Hand them to students. Students come to the table and lay their picture down. They must sort the pictures with no talking. Teacher does not tell them the sorting rule so students must discover it. Can do this with any skill they need to practice sorting.
