Standard 2.1a - Level 1

Create, repeat, and extend patterns using concrete materials ( for example, use pattern blocks, colors, words, numbers, shapes).

Standard in Kid Friendly Language

Student will know number patterns they see. Student will make number patterns of their own.

KNOW Student will identify number patterns.

ABLE TO DO Students will be able to recognize various number patterns. Students will be able to create their own patterns using numbers.

Instructional Strategies

  1. Teacher will provide an active learning environment where students can use various materials and manipulatives to assist in their practice of recognizing patterns.
