Count to 20 (50) by 2’s.

Standard in Kid Friendly Language

Student will count by 2's up to 50 for the teacher.

Standard Unwrapped

KNOW Student will know the number pattern required to count by 2's to 50.

ABLE TO DO Students will be able to demonstrate verbally ability to count by 2's up to 50. Student will be able to recognize which numbers come next when counting by 2's to 50.

Instructional Strategies

1. Teacher will give students opportunities to practice counting by 2's using manipulatives, using both direct instruction and less structured exploration time.
2. Math homework will include counting practice.

Assessment Strategies

• Essential Skills Assessment given at the beginning of the year and at the end of the year.
• Teacher will give a verbal assessment and listen to the student count by 2's to 50.
