First Semester
Students will be able to:
- Review middle school essential skills
- Master safe use of the following tools:
- Table saw
- Miter saw
- Radial arm saw
- Jointer
- Lathe
- Router
- Palm sander
- Belt sander
- Band saw
- Plainer
- Skill saw
- Drill and drill press
- Scroll saw
- Pneumatic nail gun
- Develop material list for project including cost associated with project.
- Utilize technical writing skills to produce a paper on a specific tool assigned to them. This includes: use, safety, industry comparisons, price, alternative uses and maintenance.
- Produce a three-dimenisional drawing with measurements.
- Produce a project from their three-dimenisional view drawing.
