identifying and explaining the cultural, ethnic and historical roles of games, sports and dance;
Standard in Kid Friendly Language
- all sports were created by someone, that someone may not be from the United States, nor are they all one race.
- each culture is unique and can teach others a little about themselves while performing an activity from their expertise

- the history of the activity, where did it come from, how long ago was it developed?

- perform new skills and use new knowledge to the best of your ability
Instructional Strategies
- attempt to demonstrate new skills and make students more comfortable to try and possibly fail before they succeed at a task.
- I have a dance unit right before prom and attempt to teach several different types of dances.
- swing, salsa, cowboy cha cha, electric slide, boom shaka laka, waltz, two step, and several lifts that are safe and obviously not done without me as a spotter.
