History of Rock Skills for HS

Students will be able to:

Know a major political/historical event from the 1950’s that influenced the music of the time.
Know a major political/historical event from the 1960’s that influenced the music of the time.
Name at least two major rock & roll artists from the 1950’s and be able to identify them by aural examples.
Name at least two major rock & roll artists from the 1960’s and be able to identify them by aural examples.
Gather necessary information to write musician biographies.

Know a major political/historical event from the 1980’s that influenced the music of the time.
Name at least two major rock & roll artists from the 1970’s and be able to identify them by aural examples.
Name at least two major rock & roll artists from the 1980’s and be able to identify them by aural examples.
Gather necessary information to write musician biographies and present information in an oral presentation with musical examples to the class.
