ELL Standard 4b.1 Level MS

English Language Learners write to convey information and understanding, using a variety of sources, for academic and social purposes.

Use basic sentence patterns with conventional spelling, capitalization, and punctuation.

Standard in Kid Friendly Language

Student writes in complete sentences with different kinds of word order, correct spelling, and all necessary punctuation.

  • Scrambled Sentences and Scrambled Paragraphs: Use essential sentences/paragraphs from content area texts, scramble them, and have students re-order them focusing on features of discourse
