3. What makes up the various body systems?

Reading, doing worksheets, and discussing literature about cells, tissue, organs, and systems along with info about the Dermal & Nervous System.

Participating in activities involving the senses.


Assessment


The students will be assessed on their worksheets, quiz or exam, participation in discussion and activities.

1. How does the skeletal/muscular system work and what are the names of the bones and major muscle groups?

2. How do the Respiratory, Circulatory, and Digestive Systems work in our bodies?

1. Understand the various joints, their uses, and label the bones of the body.

2. How to keep bones/muscles healthy in our life activities.

3. Label and understand the major muscles groups in our body.

4. Understand Respiratory, Circulatory, and Digestive health, what to avoid, participate in.

1) How does the digestive system work with the excretory system?

2) How does the reproductive system work in both males and females? What are the basic terms, their definitions, and reasons for reproduction?

3) How does the immune system work and what decisions can we make to keep it healthy?


Skills


1) the students will learn how the different body systems work and understand how to keep them healthy.

2) the students will identify and label male/female reproductive organs and understand the roles of the organs in terms of a healthy human being and reproduction.

3) the students will gain insight of what healthy decisions are in avoiding Sexually Transmitted Infections/AIDS.


Assessment


The students will be assessed from their worksheets, class discussions, activity, and quiz or exam.
