Agriculture Business – AB 11/12


Content Standard 11/12.1: The student will possess a knowledge of business ethics.

1-1 Identify and evaluate employer expectations regarding performance, work habits, attitude, personal appearance and hygiene.

1-2 Distinguish between the skills and traits contributing to agribusiness employee success and failure.

1-3 Understand employment practices.

Content Standard 11/12.2: The student will be able to communicate a knowledge of current agricultural issues.

2-1 Present an extemporaneous and/or prepared public speech on an agricultural topic.

2-2 Compose a business letter and office memorandum.

2-3 Write a position paper on an agricultural topic.

2-4 Collect and organize information on the Internet, satellite information services, library databases, scientific journals, magazines, newspaper and/or other current media.

2-5 Understand legislative processes as they relate to agriculture.

2-7 Identify government legislation and regulations and their effects on agriculture.

2-8 Understand water law.
