Essential Skills for Level 2

-identifying visual images, themes, and ideas for works of art

-selecting and using visual images, themes, ad ideas to communicate meaning

-comparing the use of visual images and ideas

-identifying colors, textures, forms, shapes and subjects in the enviroment

-create artworks, using a variety of colors, textures, forms and shapes

-increase manipulative skills, using a variety of materials to produce drawings, painings, prints and constructions.

-identify the use of art in everyday life.

First Quarter:

Student will be able to:

• identifying colors, textures, forms, shapes and subjects in the enviroment VS 2.1

• create artworks, using a variety of colors, textures, forms and shapes VS 2.2

Second Quarter:

Student will be able to:

• identifying visual images, themes, and ideas for works of art VS 1.1

• selecting and using visual images, themes, ad ideas to communicate meaning VS 1.2

• comparing the use of visual images and ideas VS 1.3

Third Quarter:

Student will be able to:

• increase manipulative skills, using a variety of materials to produce drawings, painings, prints and constructions VS 3.1, 3.2

• identify the use of art in everyday life VS 4.1, 4.2

Fourth Quarter:

Student will be able to:
